Lior Gori is a mat Pilates instructor, with an MA in movement therapy and Ashtanga yoga studies.
In the lessons we will practice dynamic movement based on concentration, coordination, control and precision. Breathing will be an inseparable component of the practice and will help in the flow of movement and in strengthening the core muscles and posture.
After years of dancing, I became an apparatus Pilates instructor and brought techniques from the world of dance into the Pilates method. My class is made up of intense sequences, movement transitions, emphasis on core muscles and stretching from the world of yoga. I came to Pilates through many sports injuries that made me want to learn how to precise the body and strengthen it. I started my way in the world of movement as a dancer, and from there I deepened my knowledge and experience in various trainings I went through in Melbourne and Israel. In my classes we will practice control of internal muscles, we will emphasize the gathering, the accuracy of breathing, and creating flow in movement
Pilates mat, equipment and bar from a young age I remember myself in the studio, dancing, moving my body, falling in love with movement every time. After I moved on from the world of dance, I was exposed a lot to the worlds of Movement and movement, I researched, fell in love again, tried on myself and brought all this to the world of Pilates. I found the connection between the world of Pilates which strengthens the body and the other worlds of movement which in their way accumulate the body. In my classes I combine the wide classical and modern world of Pilates with the other worlds of movement that I have experienced and felt myself, the combination of them made me fall more and more in love with Pilates over time, to see the amazing change it creates in the body, soul and mind. Pilates mat and vinyasa yoga in my classes we will move through breathing, listening, and flow, and get to know our body - we will learn "how to do" and not "what to do", so that each practitioner can fulfill his personal potential and move listening to his need at any given moment.
I discovered Pilates by chance when I was dancing, it seemed to me a fascinating and challenging method that I really, really wanted to succeed in. It was hard but slow. Slowly.. another exercise and another element connected and the great satisfaction and fun came every new training. Over the years Pilates has always been in the background - helping me with injuries and life in general. I hope to convey the same feeling to my training and trainees, we will meet in training.
